TROPICALISMO is an exclusive-use space in the city centre with a maximum capacity of 20 guests.
Pricing

Tropicalismo is available to hire seven days a week.  The hire fee depends on peak or off-peak usage and primarily covers our staffing and cleaning costs.  A bartender/server is on duty for the duration of your booking, with the cost included in the hire fee.  If you would like any additional servers (i.e. tray servers for canapes), these can be provided for an additional fee.

MIDWEEK

MON - THURS HIRE FEE
£120 + VAT

  • Set-up access is given up to one hour before your event start time and one hour afterwards for breakdown.
  • If any suppliers require additional time to deliver/set-up/breakdown/collect then please arrange this at least 72 hours in advance of your event.  There may be a surcharge for early/late access.
WEEKEND

FRI - SUN HIRE FEE
£180 + VAT

Facilities

Drink

The space is set-up to mimic a lounge / living area so our drinks service comes in the form of a 'mini-bar' which can be fully-stocked with bottles/cans of craft beer, cider, wines and premium softs, along with pre-batched bottled and/or canned cocktails, provided by The Tippling House.  You can download a sample menu HERE.

Parking

There is limited on-street parking at the venue, however the surrounding area provides a greater choice of on-street parking, which is free between 8pm and 8am.  We would recommend Bon Accord Square / Bon Accord Terrace which is less than 2 – 3 minutes’ walk from the venue.  There is also an NCP next to the Park Inn by Radisson.

DJS

We have DJ equipment available for pre-approved DJs/record-selectors.  The set-up consists of 2 x Technics MKII turntables and 1 x Pioneer DJM four-channel mixer (phono / CD / line-in capabilities).  This is included in the venue hire package, however a returnable safety deposit may be required.

Food

Our preferred caterers are Platter and Cafe Harmony.  We do welcome other caterers though, as long as they can forward copies of their food safety certification and public liability insurance in advance of the event.

AV

Audio-visual facilities are not provided as standard, however we can recommend some local companies who can offer screens, projectors, lighting, enhanced audio and video/audio-recording equipment.

Hotels

There are several accommodation providers in the nearby area, including Park Inn by Radisson, Craibstone Suites and Ferryhill House Hotel.
